This Is Where I Will Stay

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 29, 2010

I am able to dream myself away
into ancient forests whose array
mesmerize me like shimmering gems
while Iris calls my name with her stems
inviting me to sing just one tale
encouraged by master spring's big gale.

No more must I act prim and proper
and instead of playing fun's stopper
I can dance to my heart's full content
the sun's energy happily spent
I am not held back from life's small joys
but join in children's musical noise.

My family is my wonderful home
like an ever protective large dome
that shelters what one really needs
and always offers true love's seeds
their unyielding arms carry me
helping faith and happiness to see.

Never shall I stray far past their sight
for they have taught me wrong and right
if I'm ashamed, afraid to return
I will use what I slowly learn
that both a mother and father's heart
are never closed from the very start.

God's brilliant positive smile
will hover on us for a while
for I know I am forever blessed
to find waiting peace and lulling rest
in the wings of my angelic guides
solely safe right by their open sides.

Dedicated to my loving Savior Jesus Christ, who comes before anyone or anything. And next to my family: my brother, mother, and father, who have never given up on me and always offered a helping hand and open heart. I love you all and cannot express my gratitude enough for bringing me up and nurturing me in this world. This truly is my home and I will stay with you forever.

    MaryAnne,

Not all children are blessed with loving parents, a good home and/ or faith in God.
Of all these, I only had the love for God to guide me and see me through, but my son had all, just like you:)

A wonderful poem of thanks, I am sure you are loved, sweet girl. All children deserve to be, but in this world some are deprived of all. I hope one day you will be able to multiply the love you recieved to do well for other children, maybe your own, maybe adopted ones..who knows.

God bless and a big hug,

    5/5 Ingrid
