She glances down at his hand searching for hers
Sighing she moves it away, hoping he won't see
He smells different But he's passionate, and wild
and she's longing to be free
She lets him drape his arm around her
shielding her from the bitter cold of the blowing wind
She doesn't feel at ease under his arms
Knowing in her world they could not fit in
He walks her to the front door,
Thats a new development
he turns to face her
already one step ahead of her
Looking in his eyes, she does kind of want him
but his lips feel different, and his tongues not the same
his hands aren't as smooth, not nearly as tame
his breath feels too hot against her skin
She pulls away smoothly
though her hearts beating RUN!
She smiles convincingly, saying good bye
inside her heart breaking from her last love
She thought she could wash away his love
his kisses, hugs the way he made her smile
Instead it all got worse, it somehow brought him back
it's missing him that brings the pain up like bile
how do you forget, when all you want is to remember?
how can she let go, when he's still got her heart?
his photo beside her she ponders the thought
Nevertheless her soul's already torn apart.
