Bloody Roses

Bloody roses hit the ground softly
Laying on green grass full of grace
Under blue sky and a bright sun
Sinking deep in her warm embrace

Her love craves my heart and soul
As I live to please her in every way
No longer haunted by a dark hole
For this feeling shall forever stay

Living with no care, no remorse
Thinking of her from dusk to dawn
As life continues it's natural course
To her heart, I find myself drawn

For you my love, I'll give the world
Please you in every possible way
Because in a place so cruel and cold
We find each other with each new day

As for the bloody roses of the past
They leave a scar we always bare
Thus new roses shall bloom
For our future, full of love and care

    Very lovely piece here. A lot different from the sad one I just made. I liked the flow and how well your words formed lines. I think the imagery was very strong in this piece and made it easy for me to relate to. Keep it up :) Nik

    I definately think a lot of people miss out on chances at love because they're afraid to get hurt or hurt again. The pain and loss we endure in life make us wiser and stronger... Great work on your poetry 5/5
