Eternity's Peace

by SheenaMarie   Jan 31, 2010

Clash against the wall,
drop to the floor,
the physical pain
doesn't hurt anymore.

You dont even cry
because of the pain,
you just close your eyes
and take it again.

You say theres no problems,
you say it's okay.
You say that he loves you,
though you dread every day.

The scars and the bruises,
the blood and the fears,
will never compare
to love felt through the years.

Everyone tells you
to tell him good-bye,
but you tell them you cant,
as you break down and cry.

You tell them you know,
you say it's not right,
but when theres no yelling
and when theres no fights...

he's all that you need,
he's the love of your life,
but it's because of his actions
that you turn to your knife.

You know that you love him,
you know he loves you,
but the emotional trauma
from him is times two.

It hurts when he yells
and is all in your face,
it hurts when he tells you
your such a disgrace.

It's during those times
that you turn to your blade,
you escape from the problems
in which you have laid.

After the fact,
you clean up your wrist,
you put on a smile
and return to his kiss.

You can't seem to leave him
and start over new.
You've lost all control,
your life is askew.

All that you know
is that this must cease,
so you have decided
on eternity's peace.

Wow, Clench in the throat, brought me full circle, from my mom and dad to myself, it's so sad that the cycle of violence must continue, whether it's inward or outward. Haunting write.

I think you should brake it down a little or like this, other than that this poem is great.
