Feeding The Geese

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 31, 2010

Tip the hefty breadbasket over
'til sunny grain spills out
crumble yesterday's morning loaf
throw as high as you dare wish.

Draw your mischievous fingers
quickly back from sassy orange beaks
once their bellies are nice and plump
you may dance alongside with them.

Come into a group circle
and follow the leading miss.

Honk waddle
step to the left
Shout shake
step to the right
Curtsy bow
to gentlemen
Farewell mate
I'll fly away.
