Jealousy

by Adelaide   Jan 31, 2010

Thorns puncture my heart;
violent feelings stab like a dart.
The way she gazed at you,
creates convulsions all the way through.
You smiled a little too much;
Instincts connect more than touch.
She acted like I wasn't there;
You simply just don't care.
Mistakes you've made cannot be erased;
my heart has no protective case.
She spoke words of desire,
lighting my jealous fire.

Note: This was written today as a reaction to another woman flirting with my love right in front of me. Why do people act this way? Maybe, I am just too jealous.

    Your note-unnecessary. It's clear you've delt with the emotion as have most people. turning that sort of anger into poetry....wonderful skill. I liked it
