Listen With Both Ears

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 31, 2010

An enchanting tree dances before your unworthy face
as two greatly divergent voices call out with graveness
one speaks like flowing tongues created in generous honey
the other in fretful stormy meadows where lightning laughs.

Do not be tempted by a guarantee of gained knowledge
for you have no called upon right to act like a greedy god
be wise and heed my words to decline delicious longings
you will find your own reason in the delight of the Lord.
