You asked who the poem was about
And I just couldn't say
I thought for sure
That that alone would give it away

But you want hard proof
You want to hear it from me
But that's really hard to do
And I'm sure others would agree

It's hard to tell someone
How you truly feel
It's the fear of rejection
The pain that can't heal

So please don't shun me
For the feelings I have for you
But I can't keep it in anymore
This is the only thing I can do

So now I'll write the truth
Of my feelings inside
I honestly like you
And that can't be denied.
