Holland

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 8, 2010

If I throw myself aloft purple spotted pansies
their jaunty arms shall catch me
then toss me playfully twice inside hypnotic whispers
where my untouched eyes shall open
and perceive both sides of this thoughtful country.

I have many great expectations
that involve an elegantly spaced time for tea
with the ignorant lilies of the valley
who strut around garden labyrinths
until they are miraculously found
by vigilant massive windmills.

Dutch gentlemen roughly tip their worn hat
as I all too soon become their inspiration to imagine.
