Mother and Child

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 9, 2010

I have grown ever so fond of you, child
how your milky skin nuzzles against my chest
quick little breaths of contemplation
.....a precious strong gem.....

Be soothed lovely babe of yonder
I will hold you, rocking, into dawn
fireside embers sleepily drifting
.....I shall never let go.....

It is a blessing you lie here
untouched by planned choice
you are worth more than the stars
.....I choose to welcome life.....

    MaryAnne,

I cannot keep up with you-hooo, you write too many poe-hoooms, lol.

This poem is lovely, being a mother myself I can relate to it so much. My son came to me while I was still on birth control pills, I was really too young to have a child. But I saw him in a vision and he asked my permission to be born from me, how could I have refused? They say that a soul that is denied access to this world by the parents of his choice gets hurt beyond compare, and I believe this to be very, very true.

I would rather have died then to have aborted my child, even though it meant giving up my carefree life. God has His plan with us all, I am very sure of it:)

    God bless and a hug,
