Silly Clowns

by Soulful Ensemble   Feb 11, 2010

The dark site within you
Where the scythe cuts deeply
Black blood over takes
Where the door left open meets you.

Walk inside and make the bed
Where nobody else will lay.
I sit beside the moon
You sit inside all day.

The rainbow is a funny color
Whenever you're away.
Too bad I just forgot
What I was supposed to say.

What's love? If I knew
I'd be the one writing those books
That every movie follows
When the pawn takes the rook.

Misery is a funny joke
Which nobody understands
But everybody likes
As they pretend its grand.

Misery is holding hands
With a cold frozen skeleton
That says "baby I love you"
And then breaks a bone running away.

Andromeda is tied in chains
And dies for the sins of the world
While we sit in restaurants
And chew with our mouths open.

Uncle always told me
That God and death are one
Because God is the ocean
And death is in the depth of sand.

Don't try to dig and look
Where clowns make silly jokes
To express what they don't mean
Really feeling alone.
