Many Voices

by Melissa   Feb 11, 2010

Yesterday, the wind had many voices-
ones that got carried away
and spouted about, like jealous lovers
squabbling over who loves who
more

while others creaked and moaned
with the persistence of
a vintage heart
vying for piety

some were delicate,
like the pith of petals
flittering against gravity
with their usual lissome ease

but yet none of them
had the courage to appease me with
a simple word,
even a faint mumble would do

Your poems always make me think and I like that. Your abstract view of nature is imaginative and fresh.

I really am amazed at the depth of your piece here, it makes me think of times sitting around listening to the wind and just ignoring it, well done indeed my dear.
