The last goodbye

by dalin   Jun 16, 2004

The classic corners are reversed
to a path leading back into
the open gate

i searched the distant cemeteries
for the last goodbye
but all i heard was silence

i marched into the funeral procession
to hear the last goodbye
but all i heard were wails

i sat at the end of the death bed
to listen the last goodbye
but all was peaceful coma

i danced amongst the living
to acknowledge the last goodbye
but all i received was laughter

where is the last goodbye ?
HIDDEN
in the first hello
