Souless Carrion

by Soulful Ensemble   Feb 12, 2010

The nameless epitaph
Of the ghost of time
Laying beneath me
Makes my feet stiff.

Motionless bodies
Crumbling rib cage.
A heart explodes
A mouse devours it.

Snake slithers through
The dusty skull
Looking for love
To swallow whole.

A black angel
Falling from heaven
Looking for someone
To make it better.

I'm feeling it:
The cold shoulder
That killed Napoleon
And dragged the carrion
Back to his soul.
