Doubt, rushes through her mind every day,
Does anybody actually mean what they say?
How does she know if they truly care?
When at the end of the day she wishes she wasn't here.
She doesn't understand why she's pushing everybody away,
She's afraid nobody will understand what she's trying to say,
Will they ever understand what's going through her head?
When she lies awake at night wishing she was dead.
She tries to hide away, to let nobody in,
If they were to ask why, she wouldn't know where to begin.
She doesn't understand why people have to lie,
If all they're going to do is say goodbye.
She doesn't believe them when they say "I love you"
Why would she, after what she's been through?
She doesn't know why, but she doesn't want to pretend,
Can she ever tell them she wants it to end?
She finds it hard to talk, when some people don't even know,
What she's been hiding, something she doesn't want to show.
She hates herself for being so weak,
But she doesn't think people hear her when she tries to speak.
She feels weak for turning to self harm,
How would people feel if they knew about the cuts on her arm.
At least they don't know how she handles it at night,
With the blade against her wrist, she's close to ending this fight.
Doubt follows her where ever she goes,
She's trying to hide things not even her best friend knows.
She's trying so hard, but what else can she do?
When she never believes it when somebody says "I love you".
