The Coffin

by Tori Hicks   Feb 17, 2010

She felt the pain of a lover's loss
And felt him slip away.
She even looked on that rainy day
As they slipped him into the ground.
But now every night,
She dreams of that box,
The cage that keeps them apart.
The Coffin.

She takes him flowers everyday
And places them on his grave.
She tells him stories and tries to smile
But happy words are hard to say.
Without him here to hold her
The world just seems so cold
And now she hates to know about
The Coffin.
