Hush little baby.

Hush little baby, don't you cry
I sing, as a tear runs down my eye
Onto my puffy cheek, I wipe away
A precious gift, I must say

Putting my finger in her tiny hand
Shaking my head trying to understand
How could I love someone so much
As I'm falling even harder with her sweet touch

Looking real deep, deep down inside
I can see a little girl who will shine
And mommy's little girl, she will come to be
The future is something I'm starting to see

When we found out you were coming along
We made this family even more strong
We brought a house, which is now home
I'm thankful for your father, I'm not doing this alone

A mom at 17, still in high school
Its been tough but I do what I have to do
I had to grow up and face the fact
My life has changed I can't go back

Changing clothes every hour, feeding you also
Is one thing I wouldn't let go
Watching you grow so fast is unreal
Speechless, is how I honestly feel

Mommy's eyes and daddy's nose
Daddy's hair and mommy's toes
I can't get over that sweet smile you have
That frown is so cute when you're sad

I'm noticing your different cries, for your different moods
Trust me I can tell when my little princess wants food :)
Since you came into my world, my life has changed
My sleeping hours aren't the same

And I'm singing hush little baby, don't you cry
As a tear runs down my eye
Onto my puffy cheek, I wipe away
A precious gift I must say
