Grandma Frazier

by Poetical Princess   Feb 22, 2010

I seen my grandma today, (2/21)
the sickest of her I've seen.
Her face reads I'm finished,
posture sad & weak is her lean.

In her bed so helpless
I go up to give her a kiss,
rub her shoulders & hug them,
to heal the body seeming breathless.

I can't have another grandma go,
it is too hard to endure.
My heart won't take the pain no more,
Her weakness seems to mature.

Curled in her bed saying,
"no, I'm just fine".
When we all know how sick elders get,
It's their way of nicely lyeing,
That phrase gives me a cold sweat.

I pray to God He will strengthen her being,
and make this a future testimony,
He will bring joy in the morning,
and bless us when we're lonely.

Thank you Lord for healing her,
for restoring all due health.
And thank you for letting me see her,
next time will be with much stealth.
