We Wish War Would Weaken

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 22, 2010

Crafty covetous canyons
can certainly correspond
but blemishes buy bases
beholding barred belligerence.

Assumptions always act
as articulate accompaniments
until ubiquitous ulcers usurp.

Trust teeters toward treacherous towers
overthrown onto obese oblivion.

I know this was a little intricate but I did this as a challenge to myself to use alliteration and my knowledge of vocabulary without hiding the meaning. I did not use a theasurus and hope you have gotten something out of this. Thanks for reading.

How weird , I just learned of ubiquitous and usurp this week and found them in your poem here, without reading the poem I feel your title speaks a loud & clear message .
