The Sweetest Thing

by Tori Hicks   Feb 23, 2010

Sweet and simple
In my arms
I hold you tight.
A blanket to cover us
And keep us warm
Is such a comfort.
Your soft voice in my ear
Calms me down
Like a lullaby.
Your hands on my back
When you put your arms around me
Feel so warm.
The smell of your skin
That lingers on my pillow long after you're gone
Makes me miss you even more.
Your lips on mine
And the look in your eyes
Is quite simply
The sweetest thing in my world.
