Angel Of Purpose

by FlowerThatDied   Feb 23, 2010

Oh dear sweet angel, where do you hide?
'Tween the stones to which I confide,
I take to search by lantern light,
Hanging on each noise to twist my fright.

Loving winter takes it's embrace,
To chill every bone and make my pulse race,
It churns and sturs deep in my mind,
Where are you angel? It's you I have to find.

Bring me a purpose while all else fades,
And leave with me the secrets before you evade,
Yet again humanity,
And I evade infinity.

Torch the trees with your broken wings,
Shake the cool air with your fantastic strings,
Blind me in your bright, white light,
And bring a purpose to such a perfect night.
