Perish In Whole

by Mello193   Feb 24, 2010

Out of the night that covers me
pit from pit
pole to pole
i am wondering now
souls perish in whole

the black that surrounds me
from tree top to tree top
night sky to night sky
does this hunger consume
and what to imply

from the midnight hour
from house to house
broken life to broken life
will the envy be forgotton
with the long heart of strife

out of the night that covers me
pit from pit
pole to pole
i am wondering now
souls perish in whole

I like this poem as it has structure and form. There are some interesting phrases placed throughout. It does appear hard to understand its meaning. I keep asking myself what are you wondering. Maybe you should try punctuation. Are you wondering if souls perish in whole? How about this,

    i am wondering now,
    souls perish in whole?
