A lonely rose
standing strong on a hill.
It's beauty is in it's petals,
it's regret in it's thorns.
The colour represents beating hearts.
The truth is in it's shape
but has spaces for lies to hide.
If roses are the symbol of love
why do roses always die
and turn to the colour of darkness and hate?
As the petals fall it's beauty is put to shame.
The thorns are all that is left.
The most painful part of the rose.
The only colour left is the blood on you'r hands
when you try to hold it once again.
Roses are a symbol of love
They show that nothing lasts forever
everything dies
and beauty fades,
leaving only pain and sorrow.
A withered rose, alone on a hill.
That's what love really is
