Crush My Soul

by She Loves Me She Loves Me Not   Mar 4, 2010

Crush my soul like chalk to dust,
Staring in the mirror in pure disgust,
Filled with self-hatred, how can I love?
Put me on cliff-edge, and give me a shove..

My mind fighting against the ways of humanity,
A smile or two, or three, to cover up my insanity,
I know inside that dying isn't the right answer,
But thoughts eat away at me a lot like cancer.

How can anyone mend something so flawed?
Covering up who I really am, I'm such a fraud,
Watching my personality crumble away,
My friendships stuck in a helpless decay.

Head down.. walking on.. "Don't Look At Me!"
"Do your own thing, just please leave me be."
Sniggering and laughing, pulling me down,
In their sea of loathing, I'm left to drown.
