The Pain of a Breaking Heart

From my eyes
the tears fall,
as the pain
Spreads throughout
My body.
The pain of a breaking heart.

My heart is breaking
right before my eyes.
And worse of all
it's breaking in the hands
Of the one
I'm in love with.

My heart feels like it's been ripped out
stabbed and strangled,
beaten up and run over
then put back
and left
to die.

I don't think it will
ever be able to
love again.
It's broken
far beyond
repair.
