I absolutely loved how the first four lines were happy, then the poem seemed to take a sudden turn. incredible, i love poems like that. i also love the lines "Has your lonely ship ever sailed / With no anchor at the end of a rope?"
some things you might take a look at: in the 8th line, i would either say "little hope" or "no hope"
in the 16th line you might say "Where you've been [for] too long
and in the 19th line you might add a syllable "To search for [a], [one] desired love"
anyway just something to think about. i don't know, the count just seemed off in these lines. but even if you don't change anything, its still a great poem

Coolio dudio. Nicely written. It was all up and chipper then down the spiral it went into gloom and boom. Very crafty and very well done. 5-5 yah?
