Wasteland

by Kuro   Mar 5, 2010

You frown at me like I'm a disease
Then put me down however you please
They wonder why I don't fit in
Is being different really a sin

My mind goes blank
Every time they take
My pride from me
Keep me deceived

"Get off my back and don't attack
So what if I fell off the tracks
Your master plan, don't understand
I'd rather live in my own Wasteland"

You gave me this crown of thorns
Wear it with pride, just like your scorns
The pain I bare, it seems unfair
Don't let them see your inner despair

"Scream at me until I shut down,
Don't hear a sound.
Can only take so many cheap shots
Down on the ground"

I live my life by my own rules
Instead of living to be your fool
No tool am I, for you to command
Now I'm banned to my own Wasteland

This is so sad. I like the way you added the quotations from the song lyrics. Eye opening message. It is so sad to see how society makes someone who is different feel like they don't belong.
    Good job
    Take care
