It wasn't bad
My life
Was some what interesting
So if I must retire to the pearly sanctuary
Then let it be
I've fallen in love
Had great friends
Found poetry
And from there, my life story begins
I've had struggle
And fought to the very end
Of time
I've touched the universe
And made it shine
At a time I felt connected
With the everlasting "Everything"
Like I was more than just an old man dieing
Or a cut down tree, starving
For air...
I'm glad I got to live
Glad I was able to fall in and out of love
Pleased to be able to hug and hold someone
Angered at the fact that little kids had guns
Afraid of the day I'd have to die
But soon enough I open my eyes
And saw though it all...
In that moment I saw it
The shine that showed the truth of everything
And as it's wonder blinded my sight
I happily and slowly, died
