Save A Place For Me

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 7, 2010

I promenade across firefly bridge,
absentmindedly missing the obvious mention of my name
set off in tiny firework explosions.

River spirits drift humbly by
and I let them pass without a first impression
possible ignoring important counsel.

I so easily get tangled up in
forest-lit dreams of a perfect happy universe
yet how can I stop this ignorance?

Unfading stars trace my path
like miracles that have blossomed out of the sky
if only I would pay them mind.

When finally I can go no further
demolished roads showing clearly a dead end
I turn back around and learn.

I have another chance today
to acknowledge each faith-flying butterfly
and sing them into tomorrow.

Forget not sunflower's smile
before she retreats back home sweet home
let her know she is loved.

A big amen to your words, dear MaryAnne..I could not agree more. Every day that God gives us to live here, in this paradise He created for us, we should live to the fullest and indeed every precious second should be celebrated:)

I love the positive attitude in you:)

    God bless and a hug,

    5/5 Ingrid
