I was a good girl for a while
kept on laughing, kept the smile,
thought i could hold on to what you had given,
but i threw it away, and wont be forgiven.

you put your trust in me,
thats your only mistake,
you loved me, and i left you,
that was my biggest mistake.

i loved you, its true,
and i ruined it, too.
couldnt keep you, so i had to let go,
words unspoken that id love you to know.

keeping my distance, cos im keeping you safe,
safe from what? safe from head, my hell,
im trying not to speak, trying to let go,
