Walking Around A Heartbeat

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 9, 2010

My raspy breath thunders past airwaves
- tapping the ticklish treasure chest-
heart of the wild goes boom bay doom.
Do not linger and loiter about aimlessly
for weekly songbirds will knock at noon
-tiptoeing up to your resonant window-
all you have to do is shuffle your feet
and somehow you'll climb that mountain blindly.
