Tough Love

by Kuro   Mar 9, 2010

Torturing me, Life is a sadist
Tough love gives a sorrowful kiss
If all is well, I'm not alive
Only through the pain do I thrive

Masochist, pain lingers still
Better than being numb, tranquil
Sinister colors paint my wall
Spit in my face, do you have the gall?

A subtle reminder of who I am
The darker side of society's scam
The truth cannot be unlearned
Hung on a cross and left to burn

Life can be full of pain and can torture us if we let it and feeling pain rather than being numb lets us know we are alive. This is an excellent read, the flow is good, the rhyme is not forced. Well done. 5/5
