Do Not Be Afraid

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 11, 2010

The hour is at hand
when judgment will be pressed upon us
though not before
the final test of existence.

Beauty sought from sight
shall mutate into greedy hands
who only wish
to take away our morality.

Nurture love's smile
and learn gifts of giving
so that the end
will simply turn into the beginning.

Sinful thoughts attempt
yet we must acquire
the peaceful strength
to hold fast to our faith.

Nations someday will fall
and we must overcome fear
death is a gateway, a turn
for our leave of this used world.

Life is merely a teardrop in the rushing seas,
compared to eternity at Heaven's perfect feast.

Very beautifully written, and very true as well. I loved the closing lines. Great job!
