Sometimes missing someone
doesn't need any excuse.
Your heart simply hurts cuz
that someone isn't by your side.
Trying to be fine,
pretending you've moved on,
but when you close your eyes
you still see that someone.
Distracted yourself all summer
Kept yourself busy and away.
Never let yourself think even for
a second about that someone.
But when the night comes
when all lights are off
when all else is calm,
You know you can't hide
the sound of your heart
crying out loud,missing
that very someone
Then as you open your eyes
in your arms, you're holding
the someone that makes you
whole again.
But life's cruel like that.
