Goodbye Love

by Soulful Ensemble   Mar 29, 2010

The very tip of the iceberg
Which was enough for the Titanic
Is enough to sink me in you
And deep in the Atlantic.

I find myself drifting
And sinking and falling
Like loneliness, shifting
And unable to hear who's calling.

The feelings move inside me
In the pit of my belly
Making my soul grumble
And melting it to jelly.

The few words you speak
With the sharp tongue you sway
Cut swift and deep
In more than one way.

I wont forget the many days
When you said you loved me
And the repeated ways
In which you set me free.

Goodbye love--
One time soulmate.
Goodbye friend
Who came too late.
Goodbye darling,
I hope its not forever,
When I see you again
And smile being together.
