The Seeping Soul

by Blueleo   Apr 4, 2010

Life tricked all before
Teaching us to hold tight
There's always a new door
To give hope for new light

Do not aim for better
Yet avoid looking down
May end up a beggar
But still beats being a clown

Learning to live by status quo
Biting tongue and smiling
Do not want to make a foe
So we keep those lies piling

Happiness is not real
Depression not reigning
Allows people to heal
As the soul keeps on draining

when asked how it does go
Answer "same ol' same ol'"
River of life will flow
Beyond the end of any soul

Aren't we all in that situation.."Biting tongue and smiling because we don't want to make enemies"..This is life but with that we have a thing call hope. Its nice to read your poems :)
