Happiness of Pursuit

by Jad   Apr 8, 2010

The happiness of pursuit,
The feeling so resolute.
To embody our lives time
So pithy but long in mind,
Like pursuing a flower for its fruit

The joy of it all,
Finding a way through falls.
The path to what we pursue-
Happiness of Pursuit.

Now delving into the road,
To see the offers it shows.
Is it now appeasing enough?
Does one have to bluff,
About his reaps from his sow?
Happiness of pursuit.

This was suppose to be a Rondeau but my rhyming scheme is messed up so I just put the definition below to show you what the rhyming scheme should have been.

A Rondeau is a French form, 15 lines long, consisting of three stanzas: a quintet, a quatrain, and a sestet with a rhyme scheme as follows: aabba aabR aabbaR. Lines 9 and 15 are short - a refrain (R) consisting of a phrase taken from line one. The other lines are longer (but all of the
same metrical length).
