Its time to let go
Its something I need you to know.
Need you see,
That you can no longer fight for me.

I'm moving on and walking away,
Dealing with it, my own little way.
I'm shutting it inside,
My feelings I'll hide.

I know it's hard,
And I've put up a guard.
A guard I need for my protection,
To try and let go of our connection.

I don't want to leave you,
But its something I've always knew.
You never were quite right for me,
I just hope that you soon will see.

Giving up was never the plan,
But doubts have followed me since we began.
I don't think our feelings will ever go,
And time will seem to pass so slow.

But over time, hearts will heal,
But right now we aren't sure how to feel.
Give it time and let it go,
Don't forget me though.
