Urgency

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 9, 2010

Thunder tumbles in
like a gymnast ready to take on her last challenge;
I stand utterly alone
waiting for the passing of just another futile storm.
And then,
from a distance I hear commands
faintly rumbling,
coming center stage with a clear understandable voice.

"Do you know who I am?"
- invisible yet running through me.

"I am unsure, I can't see anything."
- I whisper in short raspy breaths.

"Close your eyes; listen with all you are."
- a magnificent wind circles about.

This is how I came to know my purpose,
buried, now dug up once again.

I do not speak another word
and clear every thought spinning around me.

"I am He who sent you
the Father on this Earth
I named you while you
danced within her womb.
Follow my saving Word
tell others what you've learned
know I am with you
living in your spirit."

White light flashes,
brilliance so pure
and as I stay still,

I feel the ground tremble.

"Believe, there is no better way,

I will work through you and give you strength to move.

My nation is pleading on the bitter soils of burden

Rescue them, Free them, bring them back to me.

War and parting people occupy my land;

If you do not start by giving the gift of love

All that I have built up will fall, become annihilated,

Rekindle the faith deep inside

The Truth must no longer have the chance to hide."

I have experienced this, and it would be great if more people did. I am not sure if you are referring to something that truly happened to you, MaryAnne..but all who have met with Him ( like I did when I drowned) are not the same afterwards. To know, truly know He is there is something completely different than believing in Him.

A poem that feels more like a revelation...very impressive, but I think it will be beyond the grasp of most readers. Don't let it bother you, shine on, sweetheart:)

    God bless and a hug,
