Crimson Red Stain

by Shinobi   Apr 13, 2010

Was built and destroyed instantly
By a person, glorious and cruel
Been trying harder, constantly
Realizing, I've been such a fool

Emotions once placed inside a heart
Moved away after a sad departure
Over and over, from end to start
Eaten slowly by a vicious rapture

Hollow inside, a never ending turning
Always hoping, as the sun rises again
Peaceful and calm, but deep inside burning
Toward this feeling, a bold crimson red stain

As the passed year departed, leaving a mark
Only one passion shall always remain
In a life so painful and dark
Still searching for this crimson red stain

*This stanza was flawless. I really liked the imagery and how dark and vivid your words are. The diction in this piece really speaks to me and makes me feel what you're going through. I loved the flow of the poem as well, very constant and well written. I felt that you put a lot into this piece and it shows throughout. I enjoyed reading this one :] Nice work. Nik*

I loved this poem. The first stanza...felt a little off to me. I re-read it a few times and it just felt...off. Again and Stain do not really rhyme all too well Other than those two things...I love this poem.
