A Blooming Flood

by Jad   Apr 17, 2010

Deliquescent trees bloom.
Warmth over the earth looms.
Streams run again anew,
Bringing joy, a thing known true.

Fields of flowers grow,
Bringing what they have to show.
All over high and low,
Petals of purple they bestow.

A captivation so beautiful.
The rose with thorns so cruel.
A sign of despair only to a fool,
Is this rose on a morning so cool.

All in all a blooming flood,
By so many is loved,
As nature far above
Puts winter behind with a shove.

Great word choices and very vivid imagery for the minds eye.

I think this was my favorite stanza. I can see the fields full of all the wile flowers bursting with color.

    Excellent job!

The title drew me in and what a wonderful image, a blooming flood of flowers a sure sign of Spring and indeed Winter shoved behind. Good job.
