Of ugly truths and pretty lies

by silent turbulence   Apr 20, 2010

Twisted games of fate,
A road let by betrayal, deceit and hate.
Shadowed by the dark clouds of mistrust and doubt,
Hidden under batting eyelids and a perfect pout.

A life gone by in living a lie,
Too afraid to ask 'when' or 'why'
Finding answers in the name of the one above,
Unquestionable faith or pure unadulterated love?

These things always surprise me,
Do we look through them or is it that we just can't see?
The games played under the disguise of trust,
The absence of love or just overpowering lust?

Twisted tales of fate these are,
Pretty and rosy when seen from far.
That is questioned as to 'how' and 'why'
Would be reduced to nothing but an ugly lie.
