The Earth...

This is a poem written for "Earth Day" which is 22nd April.

The very earth travailleth...
because of a world's sin.
It seeketh comfort, healing..
as it groans from deep within.

Earth's pleasure's destroy it's beauty...
suffocate it's quiet heartbeat.
It wants to be renewed again...
and in doing so have it's release.

    You did a wonderful job, never doubt yourself.. now take that last comment off your poem please haha. What a wonderful idea to write about a holiday not many of us stop & recognize that it actually exists. Nicely done as always

    I agree with Sylvia in that the last line is fine in how it gives voice to earth. You have given a good description about earth. Good job and keep writing.
