I Wish You Love

by Daz Mellow   Apr 21, 2010

She was knocking on my door, baby,
I had to let her in.
Conscience was knocking on my mind,
I had to listen.

If I was in her position,
I'd want her to do the same.
But this isn't my problem,
I don't want to be the blame.

She had two choices;
One said she could run,
She could live her life,
But she'd have to hurt someone.
Two said she should just accept.
She could still live her life,
And she'd never hurt no one.

I'm not angry, I don't want to be in this,
This mess you've set up for me.
If you have any kind of heart at all,
Go home with your baby.

I'll stand on the sidelines,
I'll watch from a distance,
I'll make sure you treat her right.
You know you don't deserve her,
But you need to love her.
Don't you dare think about me,
Go home with your baby.

You have two choices;
One says you can run,
You can live your life,
But you'd have to hurt someone.
Two says you should stand up and stay,
And you could still go on and live your life,
And you'd never hurt no one.

I'm not angry, I don't want to be this,
This mess you've set up for me.
If you still have the heart I thought you had,
You'd go home with your baby.

I'll stand on the sidelines,
I'll watch from a distance,
Thinking I should wish you luck,
But I know better...

I wish you love.

This is the first poem I've posted in a long time. =] I actually wrote this last year, but never actually felt like doing anything with it since it was so personal, but you know, time's changed. Please comment and all that good stuff.
