Once upon a time she'd said, "I'll end it all tomorrow!"
Too scared to take her life, she drowned in her own sorrow
Tomorrow turns to yesterday and she's grown to someone else
A series of radical events cause misery to melt
Although the events were all but good it brought light into her eyes
She'd found that she put everything behind a black disguise
starved of proper attention she failed at being polite
But it all seemed to flip flop in just a single night
Virgin turned to broken, Parents in a nasty divorce
Siblings went about their ways, and old friends took their course
This girl of which I speak of, has finally felt true pain
though all her life she'd pretended to hurt, it seemed a little insane
Now living paycheck to paycheck, not showered by her rich father's material love
Drug habits kicked and mother's acceptance, and finding the lord above
Truly, life is a trial, and she was just too young to see
I hope that blessings will continue to shower, this girl that happens to be me
This is the first poem I've written in years. and i know it isn't very great, but what can i say, I'm at work and need to kill some time. I'll be sure to submit more!
