BLIND

by katie T Scott   Apr 26, 2010

I couldn't see why I couldn't see you
Waving, screaming, begging me
To open up my eyes
The skies were weeping,
The cries were creeping
And you were drowning me in sighs.

But I couldn't see, I couldn't see
Pleading, praying, pushing me
To finally understand
The answer was elusive
You were conclusive
You held it in your hands.

I was blind, I'm sure I was blind
Wailing, weeping, wishing me
To open up my heart
I was crazy
My judgment hazy
And I tore you all apart.

And then I looked and you weren't there
You had nothing left to say,
And I begged and pleaded,
It was you that I needed,
As I watched you walk away.
