Never shall you wake from your bed of broken dreams,
Yet you shall sleep in peace.

Never again shall you see the reflection of your pain,
Yet you are reflected in us all.

Never shall you face another day in solitude,
Yet alone you shall remain.

Never shall you shed another tear in anguish,
Yet you shall have an ocean cried for you.

Never shall you suffer another broken promise,
Yet you shall be promised more.

Never shall I dwell on the way you came to pass,
Yet I shall not believe your end.

Never shall you be forgotten,
And I shall remember every day, the way you walked the Earth.

To be honest, I can really understand your point of view. One of my good friends from high school committed suicide 5 months ago yesterday. It's a tragic thing. You're poem isn't alluring but the simplicity draws the line of connection between life and death.

I agree, the imagery was great! You took the reader to different places, that was nicely done. I do see a conflicting aspect in the rhythm, right at the last stanza, and it made me somewhat lose the feeling you built so strongly with mere construction. It's a simple matter of making the first line in that stanza longer than the last, just like all of them. All in all, still a 5/5 b/c I definitely felt your emotion!
