Perfect In Porcelain

by Lady Nik   Apr 27, 2010

Eyes like yours only hold lies.
The truth of life will end with demise.
A riddle I know but who could tell?
Trusting the devil would send you to hell.

Hands like rusted iron in the summer rain
I'd like to smile but I feel too much pain.
Hearts like snake venom lead by the charm
bites holes through eternity with rattles of harm.

Perfect--

Years were once seconds
a long time ago..
now everlasting seems so long.
When will it break
the hold that we have?

Who will remember
what is already in the past?
My dear you play a mighty mean
game of love. Tousled and tricked
daydreaming with doves.

In--

Here there is no such thing as breathing air
no one cares for rules or being unfair.
Fight to the end which means death
If you survived it's futile because no one else is left.

I wanted to be you once until I saw the truth
the face underneath the skin of the real you.
A secret that fell into a pit of hidden things
you were the bird not meant to have wings.
It hurts me down to my bones that it was all pretend

Porcelain--

Interesting style working the title in like you did. I hope someday soon that you will forget this person and write happy poems. From the words you write about him, he wasn't the person for you.

Interesting how you wrote your poem with the title of the poem throughout the poem. That was different... you truly show how you feel in this piece, a nice job .
