Juliet And Romeo

by Peace And Dinos   Apr 30, 2010

Romeo and Juliet,
Were fated star crossed lovers,
They lived a tale of deep regret,
In the end a mournful woe did hover.
Love and Hate play a part,
In the stories of forbidden love,
This one tells the tale of the heart,
Which knows no bounds in Earth or Heaven above.
Two families with an ancient grudge,
And two children who were bound to love each other,
Young love, hidden truths, and fates misjudged,
Now lays in a tomb by one another.
Never was a tale of more woe,
Than the story of Juliet and Romeo.

The rhyme scheme seems off in this poem. I can't put heads or tails on it, but for some reason it does. I really like the last line, but the quote from the plays is. "For never's there a story of greater woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo." just in case you wanted to know.
The beginning was really strong, as was the end. The middle should be a climactic part, but it just sounded like a filler. I good filler, but a filler none the same.
I think this poem has amazing potential, and I thank you for the read.
