Awaiting your return

by White Orchid   May 1, 2010

Amber leaves falling from trees
Careless whispers fill the air
Down on bended knees
Emotions too hard to bear

Sweet aromas fill the room
Blood rushing through my veins
Arrived has the day of gloom
Breaking free from these chains

Moonlight memories are tainted
Leaving me haunted
Rose colored petals remain unpainted
Feelings for you unwanted

Reminiscing on days of old
You slipped right through my fingers
Our story remains untold
The scent of you still lingers

Speaking words under my breath
Please hear my pleas
Awaiting you to return from death
Save me from this misery

Waiting to walk with you once again
As leaves continue to fall from trees

We're all waiting for that day where we can walk with our loved ones again....Great write, I loved the vocabulary in this one. Good imagery and emotional vibe.
